Nainital Tourism

Nainital, rightly said the Switzerland of India. It is famous for the breathtaking lakes of the Kumaon hills.
Nainital is truly a place where people forget themselves among the resplendent places it offers.
There is a controversy among travelers about what is the best time to visit Nanital, some people say that it's good time to visit Nainital in summers, some say Nainital looks like heaven in Winters.
Nanital is famous mainly for its lush green mountains, Himalaya Darshan and beautiful green lakes. Nainital is named after Naina Devi temple located on one side of  Naini Lake.
Lets, look at some beautiful places in Nainital you must visit when you keep your feet on the soil of Nainital.

The picture you see above is taken at  the famous spot "Lovers' Point". Adjoining to this a few meters away, is the "Suicide point". Suicide point is really high place with a rock forming a cliff. And if you are not there to jump off you can enjoy the absolutely amazing view from there.

The picture above is from the top of "Lover's Point".

Nainital is a place where you will rarely see the sun even in summers, but when you see the sun its one of the most picturesque thing you will ever see in your life.

This is the famous Naini Lake you can see this view from the ropeway started by Kumaon Region Development Authority.

The above picture is from the Saat Pahar or Pathar, Just below the place where the Lover's Point is situated.
You may also find rented horses from this place which will take you to remote areas, deep into woods of Mallital. They may charge you a sum of Rs.1,200 per person but you may also bargain them to take fees upto Rs.800.

The above scene you can see from the Naini Lake while you are boating. Boating Fees in Nainital is around  250/Boat for one hour for individual boats . You may get a Shikara too at the rate of Rs.250/boat for half and hour.

Dont ignore anything you see when you are in Nainital. You may notice flora and fauna which you have never seen before. I took this picture at the place where the Ropeway ride ends.

This is another picture of the Naini Lake i took while we all were on the ropeway.

This is the Bhim Tal lake, a place highly recommended by me because this place is less crowded than Naini lake and boating experience is much better than Naini lake here.

Another picture of BhimTal and as i said earlier you can see that the place is in remote area and boating experience is much better than Naini Lake.

There are many other lakes as SAT TAL, Naukuchia Tal etc which are equally beautiful as BhimTal.

There are many things you can indulge into you can, like Para Gliding, hiking etc.

Lovely Shikaras are also available at Bhimtal Lake. Taking a ride might be one of the most romantic experiences in your life.

This is the whole view of the lake standing from Naina Devi temple premises. You can also buy food for fish here, this lake is enriched by oxygen though ducts so there is huge number of various types of fish, you can see hundreds of fish fighting for the food you throw into the water.

Tip/Recommendation: When i was in Nainital i found a very nice man, very humble and helpful. He will provide you an Deluxe Room With full geyser and LCD tv and every thing you need. I was provided with a personal car of my own plus the Deluxe Room plus he would also act as a guide for Rs.2,200/day (dont worry he doesnt take you to his reccomended shops or anything. I was so happy with  the service, that i promised him that i would post this on by blog for his publicity.
